Troubleshooting Guide
Tech is great when it works, but sometimes it seems to work against us. Below are some common issues that teachers encounter when using ELEMENTS.

Our videos are hosted through Vimeo. Some schools have this website blocked by the district web filter. In order to get the videos to be unblocked, your IT administrator will need to add Vimeo’s domains and the video IDs as exceptions in your district web filter. Simply copy and paste this message to send to your IT administrator to get the ball rolling.
Hi _________ (name of IT Admin)
I’m implementing a new music curriculum this year. It is hosted through the curriculum hosting service Shedthemusic and the instructional videos are on Vimeo. Can you allow the domains vimeo.com and vimeo.player.com and whitelist the Vimeo video IDs from THIS DOCUMENT to our district web filter to allow students to view the content material?
Thank you!

The studio page opens an instance of Soundtrap behind our studio layer. In order for that Soundtrap window to be logged in, it must be logged in on another tab. Some web browsers have a setting that turns off the ability for tabs to communicate with each other, which causes the login issue. Sometimes these settings are on by default. Here is how to temporarily deactivate this for different devices.
Mobile Safari (iPads)
Go to Settings on the iPad.
Scroll down to Safari.
Turn off Prevent Cross-Site Tracking under Privacy & Security.
Desktop Safari (Macbooks and Mac Desktops)
Go to the Safari app on your Mac.
Choose Safari > Settings, then click Privacy.
Deselect “Prevent cross-site tracking.”
Google Chrome (Chromebooks, PC Laptops, and Desktops)
Open Chrome.
In the upper-right, click the three stacked dots
Click Settings.
Click Privacy and security.
Click Third-party cookies.
Click "Allow third-party cookies" and ensure "Send a 'Do Not Track' request" is deactivated.
Alternatively you can add only Shedthemusic and Soundtrap to communicate with each other by addings [*.]shedthemusic.netand [*.]soundtrap.comto the list.
We recommend using Google Chrome as the browser to access the ELEMENTS curriculum. If you are using a different browser on a PC or Mac, please consider using Chrome. Soundtrap works best with this web browser.
